History of Thirteen Moons

Thirteen Moons Society was born out of a need for Solitaries to band together. In the Raleigh-Durham area there are but a few places Solitary Pagans can come together and meet, even with Church of the Earth in Raleigh, sometimes you want something more. So understanding this, High Priestess Jasmine Reid decided to create a coven for Solitary practioners which would respect the lives and beilefs of indiviuals and give training to the untrained with in thier own limitations and imaginations in hope they will learn to expand thier own expectations of thier beileves and form firmer ground of thier faith and relationships with the God and Goddess.

First thought of as a dream of High Priestess Danika when she was 14 years old, Thirteen Moons didnt have a name, but was a dream, a concept that she worked toward coming to life.

Over the years, High Priestess Danika saw a need for a community such as Thirteen Moons Society. And soon after the first meeting took place in Oct. 2013. Shortly after the first ritual was conducted on the First Saturday of Nov. 2013, which formally established Thirteen Moon Society as a coven.
